Toilet Paper Woes

This may sound trivial, but I am SICK of handicap toilet paper dispensers!! I don’t know if it’s some stupid mandate / building code, but the thing is literally one foot from the ground. In order to get any paper you gotta strain your back then somehow hyperextend your wrists! I understand having lower dispensers for people in wheelchairs, but this ( Read more... )

thanks for your comment on my photos. check out the most recent one. i was having a crappy day, complaining about my petty problems and how hard my life is then i saw these people who had no legs, or only one leg racing in the marathon! i felt like such an ass, and it put things in perspective for me. i can't help wondering after reading your post if you'd think that there weren't enough things built for "average" americans if you were handicapped. if bending over another few inches to get the tp is the worst of your problems, you should probably consider yourself lucky.

Hear hear! I dislike how the dispensers scratch your hand/arm as you pull the paper, or even as you reach up into it X(

PS - And what about those toilets at roller-skating rinks? Why lower them, when everyone stands an extra half-foot higher with the skates on! Crazy!
