It really is, LOL! And the details are even juicier. Because she was LYING. Her off-campus boyfriend had found out she was fooling around on him, and in a panic, she said it was date rape, and then the boyfriend (reasonably so) freaked out and insisted she file charges, and it all just spiraled out of control. But when the guy was in danger of being expelled over this (the police said she didn't have a case, but the school's disciplinary board wanted to make an example out of him), a few of us in the dorm who knew the truth went to the guy's room to offer to testify in his defense.

And even more exciting? The night before the expulsion hearing, the girl called the guy in tears and said she needed to talk to him privately, so my husband wired him for sound with a hidden microphone to make sure he was protected. So when she confessed, he got it on tape. Then, at the hearing, she denied she'd confessed, until he pulled out the tape and played it for the whole room and she was busted.

My mouth is hanging open in disbelief and delight. Whoa.

As for the other, I guess some people are meant to work and some are meant to raise kids, and sometimes you can combine the two. I kind of plan on going back to work when my youngest starts school. As a teacher I can do that and bring them to school with me. But I'm in no rush to do that, especially on days like today when it's cold and wet and snowing.
