Like a hole in the head ...
Amy got her ears pierced today. She neither fainted nor threw up, though she came very close to doing both. *g* Fortunately, we (myself and the two really nice young women who were working at the shop) kept her talking and she eventually recovered enough to get ice cream, then buy a couple pairs of capri pants for school. ;)
She picked out her birthstone, an emerald, and they look really nice in her ears. The funny thing is she has it in her head that they are real emeralds, even though I've explained that at $36 for the earrings, the huge bottle of antiseptic solution you put on them, and the piercing itself, that's not possible. *g*
Of course, she's already looking ahead six weeks when she can buy a few new ones. And I'm here thinking, "Cool, new Christmas present ideas". *g*
