Hey. Its been a verrryy long time since I last had an update. Im gonna try to make this short as possible. So here we go, the last half of my summer in a nutshell.
My vacation was great. I had a good time with family, and that is just the time I needed to relax.
Over the next few weeks, Fuddruckers had a few new changes including new management. I finally got the hours that I needed and ended up working 40+ hour weeks. Working full time really helped me out. A lot. I also ended up getting an employee of the month award for August which was nice too.
Ok so the Great American Movie is now finished!! It was a blast I had a great time making it. Jon said it will be on dvd at the end of this season, and I really look forward to it!
Cross Country camp was great too. We made yet another movie in that weekend which was also very funny. We had a private screening of the Great American Movie and and everyone enjoyed it. Great traditions have started at that place. Communal baths and pirates! We sunk the paddleboat! lol
So late in August a group of us went down to Cedar Point. I stayed at Josh Davis's the night before. We stayed up really late and went to Mejier to get stuff for the next day. I somehow wound up driving to Cedar Point. So, it was me, Andrew, Leah, Ashley, and Julia. We kinda got left behind, but we ran into Tony Z on the highway, whom we havent seen since freshman year. It was kinda funny cause at first we didnt recognize him, and while we were stuck in traffic Andrew threw a package of fruit snacks at him. Well turns out he was going to CP too. Anyways we almost get there and I notice something wrong with my car. I checked the oil, but didnt make a big deal of it. I just wanted to enjoy the day.
Well as it turns out, my transmission went out on me. I was stuck in Ohio with a busted trans. There was nothing I could do but drive it home the way it was. The car worked fine on the highway but on surface streets it red-lined way too easy. I was screwed.
Ok so goodbye to this car:
And hello to this car:
Yeah, got that car about a month ago. It's another Escort, but at least it looks better and runs better.
So, now the college news.
LTU started classes at the beginning of September. And they started off pretty easy, not a lot of homework, everything is review, etc. They put us all in groups on the first day so that we can get to know each other. That was a cool concept. It was kinda odd getting used to the new school schedule, wake up at 9, driving a different route, and coming home at about 9, with nothing to do between my classes. I got bored so Id go take a nap in my car or something.
Well that all changed because I decided to move in. I got tired of driving during rush hour, which will be 10x worse in the winter and theres always an accident on Southfield Freeway. Plus I found out its starting to work a lot better for me getting homework done, because I can actually get organized. My roommate, Anthony, is in my basic design class. Lenny across the hall and Nick next door are in many of my classes and I find it so much easier being surrounded by people in my class.
So, yeah, I live in Southfield now on campus at North Housing 1318. You're welcome to come visit me whenever Im around.
I guess I should post my schedule too then
