40 years good grief !
Today we have been married for 40 years. It doesn’t seem that long! I have been surprised with ruby earrings and chocolates!
Yesterday was lovely - the weather was kind and we spent a bit of time looking at stuff in an antique centre before heading off to the Weald and Downland museum (about 30 minutes away).
It is one of the few weekends when you can take a look behind the scenes of the barn where they film The Repair Shop. They are in the middle of filming - nowadays they film for 40 weeks of the year as it’s such a hit show. So we got to peak into the barn and see the set up which was fascinating. Obviously everything is covered up ready for filming on Monday, but it was fun to see everyone’s ‘stations’ and guess at what was under the covers. A few photos under the cut.
We spent several hours wandering around the rest of the historic buildings and I will have more about that in another post.
Today we are off to an arboretum in the rain (it’s been torrential overnight) and then this afternoon we will enjoy an afternoon tea with some champagne! We’re looking forward to that!
