Catching up again on a Monday

Dec 13, 2021 10:23

Yesterday it was relatively warm at 12C/53F and we spent some of the morning putting together the outdoor fireplace that my in-laws bought us for our November birthdays. It's been sitting in it's box in the spare bedroom getting in the way for the past few weekends as it was too rainy/cold to contemplate being outside for any length of time, but it was perfect weather on Sunday.

It actually didn't take very long to do - it's pre-rusty to stop any further rust apparently, but I'm OK with that as I like rustic *g*. Excuse the dirty flagstones we've put it on to protect the deck - it was very muddy where we'd stored them...

ETA : Under the cut for a couple of photos of it lit.

My pyromaniac husband....

It certainly kicks out some heat!

We didn't get around to lighting it as it started to drizzle, so that's a job for another evening in the week (ETA see photos above). Instead we got a few more of the Christmas decorations up, had a very nice roast chicken lunch prepared by Mr Cee and then popped out to get a door wreath from one of the crafters at a local farm. It's a holly wreath which is very prickly (and I must push that bit of wayward moss back in as I didn't see that before I took the photo!)

The rest of the day was spent catching up with some TV and relaxing because that's what Sundays are for.

Today Mr Cee has gone to London to meet a new employee. She's not actually new as she used to work for the company about 6 years ago, but left as she didn't get on with the department Manager of the time. As Mr Cee has been the department Manager for the past few years and they need some new recruits he's tempted her back . This is all good as she knows the ropes and doesn't need long to get back up to speed. So I have the day to myself which I'm spending cleaning all the things with loud music blaring LOL! I clean better with a beat \0/

Catch up questions:
12. Have you ever done a craft project you saw on Pinterest?
I don't really look at Pinterest very often, athough Google wants to take me there endlessly! So, no....

13. What color were your bedroom walls painted when you were a teenager?
I had one wall of large flowerly wallpaper and the walls were painting a matching caramel brown colour (it was the 70s! LOL!)
