As most of today was forecast 28C/82F and sun for the morning at least, I got the carpet shampoo machine out and put the rugs from the living room on the deck for a wash. They didn't take that long to do and the dirt that came out was very satifying

I am filled with admiration for you. I had to look up Nordic walking (I'm just glad that I can still do "regular" walking!) You make sourdough bread (I can only do "regular" yeast bread, and that's a relatively new thing. I used to only be able to bake quick breads). And you make stained glass! You're like a Renaissance woman.

We had a bit of rain but not as much as you did by the sound of it. I could hear thunder in the distance but it was never close.

The drains were pushing up fountains of water as we drove home from W. Wickham - I'm really amazed it didn't get as far as you! A couple of schools are flooded around here...

That's very pretty. I like the frost pattern on the 'clear' glass.

Thanks. That glass is called 'glue chip' and it's made from putting a type of glue on the molten glass. It looks like ferns - I think it's pretty and I use it a lot.
