Icon in honour of the endless episodes of New Who that were on TV over the weekend *g*
Yesterday was Father's Day and it started with Mr Cee and I doing our Tai Chi lesson which should have been in the park, but as it was raining (AGAIN!) our teacher popped it online. We learned a new form which is called Ba Duan Jin Quigong. It's a Tai Chi form that is designed to promote health. It was very, very slow but not very difficult to do. It was nice to learn something new and involved a lot of deep breathing, so quite relaxing.
We had a quick lunch then I prepared the bits and pieces for dinner as Youngest Cee and GF(P) were coming over for dinner of pizza cooked in the wood fired oven. Unfortunately about half way through doing that I bent down sideways to look at what temperature the kitchen oven was set for (I was baking some shortbread to have with the dessert) and something went 'twang' in my lower back! I should know better as I've done that before!! It was OK, but I kept siezing up when I sat down for too long, so it was annoying, but we had a lovely dinner and catch up with them before they headed to their respective homes at around 7.30pm.
I ended up having a long very hot bath and sleeping in the spare bedroom last night as I thought I'd keep Mr Cee awake if I couldn't sleep. As it was I slept quite well, but my back is still quite stiff today. I have to remember to really pull in my stomach muscles when I stand up, otherwise I creak and groan like an old lady LOL! I probably should have pulled in my stomach muscles when I bent sideways - I think my back needs support and I get lazy.....
It's raining again today (no surprise) and for once I don't have much to do, so I'm going to relax and do some gentle stretches thoughout the day. The pain is easing off, but I'm not sure if I'll do our evening Tai Chi lesson tonight - at least I can ask for the recording and catch up another time if I don't feel it's sensible.
In other news Youngest Cee's work on the outside of his flats has progressed to his level and it's getting very noisy. He has this week off, but he might come over here and stay for a couple of days to get away from it. They are stripping off the outside cladding to get to the insulation which has been identified as not being to the right standard of fire resistance. Then they'll have to put it all back once they've changed the insulation. There are a lot of drills and jack hammers being used to do that...
In the meantime I missed yesterday's question and there's todays as well:
20. How many people have you kissed in a car?
I have no idea how many. I do remember kissing former boyfriends in cars, but as I started seeing Mr Cee when I was 19 so apart from him and family the number is pretty small.
21. Do you enjoy getting manicures/pedicures?
I've never had a pedicure - and I rarely have manicures. I suppose I grew up when these things weren't as readily available as they are now, so I got into a habit of painting my own nails. Nowadays there are nail bars in all the local towns (often more than one), but as I have really strong nails, I've never needed to get acrylic nails and I've only gone in to get gel nails a few times as I don't really like the way they grow out and the harsh chemicals you need to use to remove them. Now that I'm not working in an office the only time I paint my nails is when I'm in a dance show as I'm not careful enough to avoid chipping nail polish.

Case rates are going up everywhere, so a full opening has been postponed until 21st July and there are still restrictions on travel (but not enough IMO). Mostly everything except nighclubs and large events such as the theatres or sports events are open and the only other restriction is for numbers attending weddings, but there is still a lot of concern over the
Delta variant which came over from India (where numbers of deaths and hospitalisations are downright terrifying still).
