A busy Monday..... (day 239 or day 10 of 2nd lockdown)

Nov 16, 2020 17:06

It's been a busy day so far!  After I'd got up I spent some time pampering myself by dying my eyelashes. I haven't done it for ages, and I'm not convinced the kit I have is still viable, but hey - I had some time LOL! I'll have to treat myself to a new kit at some point (my eyelashes didn't look that much different after I'd finished *g*).  By that time it was time to quickly read through the handouts from last week for the Colour In Art course before it started at 10.30.  This week we looked at Black, White, Grey and Brown. As usual it was fascinating to look at art where these were the dominant colours and to learn about how the pigments were made.  It's the last session next week and I shall miss this course as it's been very interesting.

The session finished at 12.30 and a friend called round just as it was finishing. We had decided last week that we would go for a picnic in a local woodland as we are allowed to meet a friend outside for exercise. So we had wrapped up warm (it was barely 11C/52F), but it was sunny to start with, so we had a lovely picnic of tuna sandwiches, crispy things and some home made cake along with a glass or two of wine and a hot drink of winter warmer tea. It was really nice, and we had a chance to have a really good catch up - and we sat on a bench just out of the wind so it wasn't too cold. We saw loads of dog walkers and lots of dogs wanted to see what we were doing LOL! After about 90 minutes we decided we were getting a bit chilly, so we walked back to my house and she went home. It was nice to have a tiny bit of normality in lockdown even if the actual exercise was minimal *g*

By the time I got back at 2.30pm it was starting to get dark and I spent some time catching up with Mr Cee. I was thought about joining in with my bellydance teacher's free 30 minutes online dance boogie at 5pm, but by then it was really dark and I definitely didn't feel energetic! So we sat around being cuddled by cats.

I have time to deal with the 365 question for today: 16 If you went to a dinner party and were offered a dish you had never tried, would you want to taste it even if it sounded strange and not very appealing?

I'd probably give it a go even if I didn't like the look of it, but I would have to check what was in it with my host as I have a couple of things I can't eat. I think it's always worth tasting something because it might be delicious! There are a lot of things that look really bland or unpleasant and they taste yummy. Some of the things I really love are because I've tried them at a dinner party or a meal out regardless of what they look like.
