From this Saturday my area has to return to a more strict demi-lockdown (tier 2). Numbers are rising and London (which I am on the very outskirts of) will have rules stopping anyone from meeting indoors - that means in someone's house, a restaurant or a pub. Up to 6 people can meet in the garden or outside. So the lunch I had arranged with a friend in a local restaurant won't go ahead as they don't have outside seating. Restaurants and pubs can still stay open for take aways and deliveries or if they have outside seating but they have to close at 10pm. Galleries, gyms, hairdressers and shops will remain open with restrictions in place.
It's so frustrating as numbers locally are very low, but we fall under the London boroughs, so we have to do what they dictate. Hopefully Mr Cee and I can go up a couple of times next week to London Gallery visits we had booked as we are from the same household. We can hopefully still have the afternoon tea we'd booked for our wedding anniversary too. I suppose we'll have to check next week *sigh*
I had a nice meet up with
lilachigh on Tuesday and we had lunch out which was yummy. We also bought a few things for Christmas which was also good. Wednesday was spent doing more stuff for work and in the evening I risked joining Mr Cee for Pilates. I told our teacher what I'd done and she warned me about anything that I had to be aware of, so I was extra careful.
This morning I slept right through the radio coming on, and slept over 8 hours which is rare for me. I must have needed it. My back is slowly getting better thank goodness and has eased a lot overnight. I've spent all morning on the computer and in a very long online meeting with the bellydance mentor and the specialist in the automated marketing software I've been learning. It was really useful.
Later on I have my online Pre-Raphaelite course and then I've signed up for a free webinar about Artemisia Gentileschi (the exhibition we're gong to next week). Then it will be time for belly dance class and two classmates are coming over to dance with me. It will be the last time I'll have company as I'm not sure we'll be back in the studio next week as planned because of the new restrictions, and I'll have to dance alone from next week if we continue online *sad!face*
14 What is something you've tried but would never do again?
I'm assuming this doesn't include food related things as it's an action. There's a couple of styles of dance that I've tried and really didn't enjoy - there's a particular style of bellydance which is more of a folk dance and I really don't like it much (it often involves using and twirly a cane around). I'm not keen on the music either as there's an instrument which is rather like a bagpipe sound which is also not my favourite. I'd quite happily never do that style again.
15 If, without being detected, you could spy electronically for the next month and watch anyone, anywhere, anytime like a fly on a wall, would you? If so, who would you watch and how closely? If not, why not?
I think that would lead to huge disappointments - so I'd not do it. I have indoor cameras in my house which we use to check on the kitties when we're out or on holiday. We've never deliberately used them to check on the people we ask to look after them as I think that's unreasonable and they're doing us a favour. We have used them to look and see if the cats are all in at night though and watch them coming and going as often they'll disappear if someone comes in to feed them and they'll never see them LOL! We find that reassuring when we're away. I have spied on the kitties at night when we've been asleep and notice them walk all over the kitchen counters and dining room table, so they get a clean every morning *g*. They don't do that during the day as they know it's not allowed LOL!
16 If it were the only way you could remain with the love of your life, would you be willing for both of you to wake up tomorrow as native speakers of an unfamiliar language, knowing that within a week, you'd permanently forget the language(s) you now speak and largely be cut off from your friends and culture? If so, what new language would you want to speak and why?
