Been out and about....

It absolutely bucketed down with rain today, and I managed to miss most of it this morning as I set off to London to visit the Country Living Christmas Fair in Islington. It's not far from where I used to work and it's interesting to see that it's not changed very much apart from a few new shops here and there. The Fair was fun - I've been the last few years and there are some things I always want so I head to the food area straight away. I got our Christmas pudding which is one of the best we've found for us as we don't like nuts in the pudding. I also may have bought a chocolate and ginger small pudding for after Christmas as they are delicious as well!

I also raided the cheese stalls as I love the small producers. This year I found a goats cheese producer from Ireland who was stuck right on the outskirts of the stalls and is a very small producer as it's literally his family farm. The cheese was delicious though (you can taste all the produce at the fair which is great!) and so I bought some plain goat cheese, some with seaweed added and their version of 'Feta' which instead of being sheep milk is made with goat. It was all very delicious.

I also treated myself to a couple of things for the garden with some of the birthday money I got from the in-laws. The hand-forged bird feeder is my favourite:

I got soaked on the way home, so most of the afternoon has been sorting out accounts for my Etsy store. I'm actually making a profit which is pretty good.

On to the 30 days meme: #2: What technology are you grateful for?
I suppose I could say my phone, as that's endlessly useful and I'm always grateful I can look up the trains when I travel up to London and make sure the one I'm going to get isn't cancelled or delayed. It's also useful on the way home as I can see what train I can get once I get to the mainline station as these days you can get wifi at the tube stations which is very useful!
