I have had a very sociable and busy weekend which has been fun.
Saturday a friend came round for coffee and a long catch up as we haven't done that in a while, then in the afternoon two of my belly dance troupe came round for some practice. We ended up dancing for around 3 hours which was immensely satisfying as we have really 'cracked' three of the four dances we are to perform in our show. Hooray! Mr Cee and I spent the evening catching up with lots of things we had recorded during the week and hadn't had a chance to watch.
Today we have been to Ikea to see what it's like to charge the electric car at a pay as you go point. The bonus of going to Ikea is that they give you a £6 voucher regardless of how much you've paid to charge the car. So while the car was charging we had a delicious cooked breakfast, coffee and cinamon bun - we did not feel guilty about this as we didn't bother with lunch today and only had a snack for dinner this evening. Mr Cee went to check on the car after 45 minutes (the time allocated for charging) only to find that somehow we'd ended up charging the car without actually paying for it. Not sure what went wrong there - but it may be that the outlet is faulty. Anyway - we've made a note just in case we get a bill later and checked online just in case but it would seem that we did everything right, but got free electricity anyway :)
We bought a couple of things in Ikea (because.... Ikea!) including a small storage unit for my glass studio as now the tumble drier is not in there I have more space \0/ When we got home Mr Cee assembled that and I planted a couple of plants that had been waiting to go into the ground. Two hydrangeas and some pansies for pots. The weather got lovely and warm and sunny during the afternoon so we sat outside for a while which was relaxing.
I have also had someone contacting me through my Etsy site as they want a wall mirror and we agreed colours etc which is good - I just need to make it now. The rest of the afternoon has been spent making a honey cake as I've been invited to a friend's house for coffee tomorrow so I shall bring cake along.
Style meme-age....
17: Have you ever had to wear something you didn’t like? I didn't like my school uniform much - especially the itchy blazer which was uncomfortable. Some of the outfits we have had to wear for bellydance I've not liked much, but that's mostly because they are 'one size' and I'm not really average size, so things are never quite big enough for me.
18: How do you feel about wearing fur? I don't think animals should be raised especially so they can be killed for their fur, and that their fur should be the reason an animal is killed. There are such good fake furs being produced these days I don't see the need to use real fur. My grandmother left me a fur jacket which I was really conficted about as the animal that was killed for it's fur was killed a very long time ago (probably the end the 1800s), but I never wore it and eventually it started to shed so much I threw it away.
