I meant to post yesterday, but a friend came over for the day and I got distracted - quick bullets to catch up.
- Yesterday was a glorious day here in the SE of London and even though today is dull we are apparently set for a mini-heatwave which will hopefully mean the long weekend coming up will be nice.

I was so sad about Manchester - it is our nearest big concert venue and islanders know it well. I have been to the venue and stayed in one of the hotels featured. But how very typical of the region that taxi drivers were even going over from Liverpool to help ferry people home, and so on.

Daniel Craig is my favourite Bond, although Roger Moore's films played it more for comedy and were fun. He seemed like a man with a very level headed sense of humour in his response to teasing about himself. I admired him in the interviews I heard of his.
Manchester has left me dumb with horror.

Yes I like Daniel Craig and I think the writing improved when he took on the role. He was always very self deprecating and there have been some lovely memories from fans posted online.
Manchester reminded me so much of the IRA bombs back in the 70s and it's so worrying that the bomb builder may well still be at large :(
