I meant to post yesterday, but a friend came over for the day and I got distracted - quick bullets to catch up.
  • Yesterday was a glorious day here in the SE of London and even though today is dull we are apparently set for a mini-heatwave which will hopefully mean the long weekend coming up will be nice.
  • My friend who visited yesterday has given me ( Read more... )

Roger Moore wasn't my favourite Bond either - it's Sean of course! -, and I wasn't a big fan of The Saint but the Moore/Curtis pairing worked very well in The Persuaders!, at least on screen.

ETA: Pictures are great but you need to share a video of your belly-dancing!

I liked Sean and I also liked Daniel Craig as the writing in those films went back to the ruthless Bond - much more like the books.

My dance is not good enough to share - but I enjoyed myself :)

I love the photos.

I was so sad about Manchester - it is our nearest big concert venue and islanders know it well. I have been to the venue and stayed in one of the hotels featured. But how very typical of the region that taxi drivers were even going over from Liverpool to help ferry people home, and so on.

Thanks :)

I think the positive response from good people is important to focus on.

I knew you'd look good in that costume and you do! Congratulations on the dance.

Daniel Craig is my favourite Bond, although Roger Moore's films played it more for comedy and were fun. He seemed like a man with a very level headed sense of humour in his response to teasing about himself. I admired him in the interviews I heard of his.

Manchester has left me dumb with horror.

Thanks!

Yes I like Daniel Craig and I think the writing improved when he took on the role. He was always very self deprecating and there have been some lovely memories from fans posted online.

Manchester reminded me so much of the IRA bombs back in the 70s and it's so worrying that the bomb builder may well still be at large :(

Thank you!

Terrorism is just so appalling when it targets young people.
