What an absolutely delightful day! Loved the pictures of Sherlock's place. That's a "must see" if/when we are ever back in London. I'm glad you and Lilac had such a lovely day.

What an amazing day!

I'm thinking that the mystery object is upside down and should be hanging from the ceiling; I think it's an early electric light fitting

I think you could be right about the glass thing. The bobbly bits were loose though so I'm not convinced they wouldn't fall out. It was a very enjoyable day.

I think it's missing the fittings for the bulb so the bobbly things are just sat there rather than fixed... of course I've been known to be wrong

Having looked at the photo again I think you could be right. It's rather like a small chandelier isn't it.

The museum is fascinating and that tea looks amazing, we didn't get anything that lush when we were in London.

It was a special deal but I was surprised at the quality and quantity of the tea. There are lots of hotels offering afternoon tea now and they are scrummy!

Looks fun! The Wallace Collection, and its rather gorgeous eatery, is wonderful, isn't it?

And that looks like an excellent tea - getting proper plain scones to have with your jam is a sign of a really good tea I always think.

The scones were delicious and it was nice to go and do something fannish and something cultural :)

The museum looks amazing. I had no idea it had that level of detail.

Funnily enough I'm going to the Wallace Collection with my mum on Monday and have (hopefully) made a reservation for lunch at the restaurant. Looks as if we might enjoy it!

I think you will enjoy the Wallace collection. It's very interesting. I'm sure lunch will be fabulous as it smelt gorgeous as we left!
