After catching the train to Charing Cross I walked to The Royal Academy for their Angelica Kauffman exhibition. It wasn't a very large exhibition, ( Read more... )

I just commented yesterday on a post how when I was a kid I remember sitting in church and staring at the stained glass windows. I loved them.

Sounds like a good day out. I meant to go to the glass exhibition but have run out of time. Many thanks for sharing a glimpse of the exhibition anyway and the Angelica Kauffman which I might manage to get to!

Yes - I nearly left going to 2 Temple Place too late. I’m so glad I did as the exhibition is really big (and free of course!) it’s still on until 21st.

The Kauffman is only 3 rooms so I wasn’t impressed for the amount of money it cost, I’m glad I went though.

Wow, that cut and stained glass work is incredible - thank you for those! And the others, too. :DD

You're welcome. The stained glass exhibition was really good (and free entry!)

Amazing exhibitions. I especially like "Self-portrait at the Crossroads between the Arts of Music and Painting." It's such an interesting concept and so beautifully done. The cameo glass is beautiful and it's interesting that it takes so many people to make them.

Yes, that painting was one of my favourites, especially when you know that it's the artist making a choice of career.

I hadn't realised it took so many people to make a cameo!
