Eeeep!

Today's forecast: 12C/53.6F and sunny!

I have scared myself as I bought one of those 'fancy' scales that can sense your body fat, skeletal muscle, muscle mass and all kinds of other readings including what it considers is your 'real' age!  I have four statistics that according to the scale are 'not up to the standard'. Body fat (in the red obesity section!), subcutaneous fat (high), skeletal muscle (low), metabolic age (older by two years!). Eeeeeeeek!!

The good news is that my muscle mass is above average, and all the other readings including bone mass are good. Phew! I will need to do some more research to see what I can do about the lower readouts, but I suspect that lifting weights might have to find its way back into my workout routines. We have had a lot of disruption over the last couple of months to our workout routines (many have been cancelled), so I'm not that surprised that things are as good as they used to be. Something to work on...

Today I met up with some local ladies for lunch at a pub a few miles away. I belong to a local friendship group on Facebook, and they usually have things at the weekend which is slightly awkward for me, so I much prefer something in the week. There were four of us (including me) which was nice as we got to chat over a light meal. It was very enjoyable and we're planning to meet up again. Mr Cee dropped me off and then picked me up afterwards so we could go shopping at the posh supermarket nearby.

This evening Tippi had another trip to the vet to monitor her progress on the thyroid medication. Her weight is back to her healthy pre-diagnosis weight at 3.79kg/8.3lbs (from 3.4kg/7.4lbs before Christmas and 3kg/6.5lbs at her lowest weight). They are very pleased with her and she's had a blood test to see how the medication is working.

Relaxed cat at the vet:

That's about it for Friday - just time for the question of the day: 26. International Customs Day - have you ever been stopped at Customs when travelling?
I have! It was back in the day when people had Walkman music players and the customs inspectors wanted me to play it. I was supposed to make sure it was a music player rather than a bomb of some kind.  They checked mine and the children's ones too, but not Mr Cee's - clearly he looked too innocent...
