It's been quite a pleasant day today - 9C/48F, there's even been a tiny ray of sunshine every now and again.
Yesterday our last Thursday Pilates was a fairly tough lesson, but it was nice to finish on a good workout. Today, I have mostly been making things. This morning I made a few stained-glass decorations - one for my neighbour, one for my hairdresser (who I am seeing next week), one for one of my friends, and one for GF(P)'s Mum. Photos under the cut.
For my hairdresser
For my neighbour
For my friend
For GF(P)s mum - it's an illusion star, so this is from one angle
and this is how it is made up
I've also been baking - I'm just waiting for two seeded sourdough loaves to finish their second proof, and in the meantime, I've used some of the leftover sourdough starter to make a pumpkin loaf. This is
a new recipe for me, and I was slightly horrified at how much sugar was in it, so I cut it down. I'm unsure how that will affect the taste as it's still cooling, but hopefully, it will still taste good.
Mr Cee has finished work now, and so we're catching up with some things we've recorded. Later there will be the last one of my Christmas boxes online course which I'm looking forward to. I'm going to see what else this tutor does as she's very good - so hopefully, some more origami and paper folding will be in my future. I've found making boxes has been really useful for wrapping presents so far.
Today's question: 15 - Cat Herders' Day: Have you ever had to do anything where it felt like you were trying to herd cats?
LOL! I used to work with actors; then I worked with small children; following that I taught teenagers and adults; then I was a manager for a team of College moderators; and finally, I worked with a dance mentor wrangling the dancers on her mentoring programme. They were all challenging in their own ways :)
