After our visit to Sambourne house yesterday we walked to the much larger house which once belonged to Lord Frederick Leighton, painter, sculptor and an extremely wealthy and successful artist in his lifetime

I want to go to Leighton House anyway but those gold drawings are an extra incentive. They are absolutely gorgeous. I love the one of St Francis and the angels are glorious. Many thanks for sharing.

Leighton House is one of my favourite places and now they have a very nice café and you can sit in the garden. Worth going (also free with Art Pass).
