This Thursday, I am off to Chicago for several days. And this is where I need your help. What must I do? What (and where) must I eat?
My meager list thus far:
National Museum of Mexican Art in Pilsen
Lincoln Park Zoo
Visit Wrigley Field (alas, no Cubs games while I'm in town!)

a. Second City - the comedy club where all kinds of big names got their start. I've been there before, and it's definitely worth the admission price.
b. The Art Institute (it is really awesome. Better than anything outside of NY or DC)
c. Millennium part/Navy Pier. (Although we have never been to Millenium park and the new Navy Pier, everyone says that they are outstanding - just to go look around.)
d. Chicago has a lot of fantastic architecture and a boat tour on the Chicago river is a great way to see it. (http://www.architecture.org/tours.aspx)
e. Grant Park museums (Shed Aquarium, Adler Planetarium, Field Museum where they filmed Night at the Museum) The Aquarium has (has?) an outstanding collection of tropical fish. The Planetarium has good shows but is no different than other Planetarium. The Field museum has a very large collection but again is like over places.
f. The Museum of Science and Industry. It is a bit out of the way being on the south east side of the city. However, it is unique in what it has on display. It has a model train layout that dwarfs anything that I have seen anywhere.
g. There is Pizzeria Uno’s or Ginos East for the Chicago Deep Dish Pizza experience.
h. The Grant park music festival is great fun and free. If you are downtown one of the evenings that it is playing, go and sit and hear some great classical music. http://www.grantparkmusicfestival.com/index.shtml
