Is so much fun. not! At least it's done for the next two weeks, though. Should have had it done on Friday, but I shirked it off. Better a bit late than not at all, though. And I have some money left to play with! ... Sort of.
One thing I have to do tomorrow is order some fine silver sheet for a project for a friend, and I want to get that done asap. I might not have a lot of extra to work with, though, so I need to be careful how I go about it.
I'm starting to get excited about the prospect of going to anime conventions, not just to look about, but to actually sell some things. I've been going through my design book for designs that could be anime inspired, and there's quite a few of them. Granted, some of them are mainly from listening to anime soundtracks while drawing what comes to mind (the music sound tracks to Rurouni Kenshin was/is especially good for this), but I think they still count.
The downside of this is some of these designs are done with either Shakudou or Shubuichi. I technically have some Shibuichi, but if I remember correctly, I did not use the correct formula, so it's not right and not acting as it should. I was planning on taking it down to the refinery, actually. Granted, it's not all that hard to mix the stuff up - basic chemistry, really - but I would need to get the tools to do so, and I doubt I'd be able to afford the gold for the shakudou any time soon. ^^; So, instead of making shakudou, I think it's within my best interest to instead use sterling silver, and take some tiger black (and similar) to it to give it the purplish sheen.
I'm looking forward to sitting down at the bench to work again! ^^
