Title: Nothing at all
Rating: PG
Words: 247
Prompt: "It's not true that I had nothing on. I had the radio on." - Marilyn Monroe
Lily hummed along to the music on the radio, her body swaying to the beat. Revelling in the way the air caressed her skin, she was in no hurry to don her clothing. It was hot enough to go without, and she wasn’t expecting anyone. With that freeing knowledge in mind. She danced her way around her small apartment, picking up the scraps of parchment that needed to be sorted out.
As it happened, she was so engrossed in the music, she almost didn’t hear the telltale ‘pop’. The sound took a moment to register, but the moment it did, she fled to the bedroom, slamming the door shut on whoever it was who had apparated into her apartment so rudely.
Throwing on a shirt and a pair of jeans before gripping her wand tightly, she yanked the door open once more, prepared to hex whoever it was on the other side. And she would have, too, had the someone not been a certain James Potter, a very satisfied grin decorating his face.
“What are you doing here?” she asked through clenched teeth.
“Thought I’d drop in and say ‘hi’,” he replied innocently.
“You’re supposed to be working! You said you wouldn’t have time today!” she accused, waving her wand threateningly.
“I’ll definitely say it again,” he said mildly, “if I get treated to such a beautiful view each time.”
Her cheeks burned.
“You saw nothing.”
“Lily, dear,” James grinned, “I do believe that was the point.”
I had fun with this one ;)
