Whirlwind
Just something I suddenly had to write, so really a spur of moment writing, but I have to say I'm definitely satisfied with it. Only drabble length, though.

She always wanted a romance that would blow her away with its intensity. It would be love at first sight, and she’d know the moment she saw him that he was the one. Her heart would start beating quickly the moment she saw him, and when their eyes met, there would be a spark and a sense of rightness. He’d notice, and he’d talk to her. It would be a whirlwind romance. They would only ever have eyes for each other and when they kissed, the world would fade away.
She never got the sudden sense that he was the one, she never had that love at first sight. The first time their eyes met, there had been no spark, though she had thought that he was kind of hot. They hadn’t spoken until a few months later, and even then there was no whirlwind romance. But after a while, her eyes would search for him when she entered a room, and he would automatically wrap his arm around her when they walked side by side. He looked at her like she was his sun and she gazed at him with the same quiet intensity.
She never had a whirlwind romance, but when she kissed him, the world around them would fade to black.
I have to admit, I'm glad I wrote it.
