2011 into 2012
First post of 2012, and probably the first post in awhile... almost a month if I give it a few more days. ^^"
So, noteworthy things of Dec 2011 would most certainly be... my trip to Japan. It was epic and awesome and I didn't bankrupt myself, but it was close. xD
My fandom stash of stuff includes 31 doujinshi (fandoms: Bleach, Code Geass, D.Gray-Man, Dissidia, Final Fantasy VII, Naruto, Saiyuki, Tennis no Oujisama, Tiger & Bunny, Uta no Prince-sama, Vassalord. and Yu-Gi-Oh!), Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi Yokozawa no Baai novel, 2 BLEACH clear files, 1 BLEACH double-sided card thing (on one side was the Valentine's spread with Grimmjow, Byakuya, Ichigo, Ulquiorra and Renji; the other was Muugetsu!Ichigo), FFVII Ultimania Omega (at a discounted price to boot), Black Materia - Meteor pendant and Sephiroth (wing) ring, in which the last two were bought from the Square Enix display showcase shop. Yeah, that one with the half-naked Sephiroth on display on the floor of the mezzanine/2nd level. *.*
Pictures may come later... Most of my doujin purchases have been shipped to UK and I am going to be flying back tonight (in a couple of hours actually) and I hope my doujin will be safely there, or safely on their way there. I really don't know how long it's going to take other than the estimate of 6 - 13 days... So I have to wait and see to take pictures! No pictures of the Ultimania though, just cause I am lazy and have already packed in my DSLR. xD"
Epicness of the Ultimania Omega though, was the section in which they have actual images of how key items in FFVII looked like. Which means...
There's the entire selection of dresses, wigs, colognes and underwear that Cloud could've gotten when he was off cross-dressing.
And now I finally undertand why Cloud tends to be drawn cross-dressed in certain specific types of dresses. PEOPLE HAD REFERENCES. OFFICIAL REFERENCES. Now, Square Enix, when are you giving us that PS3 remake? I need to see them dresses in HQ graphic thank you very much.
Also, Japan is epically the land of doujinshi. Though really, what am I talking about? Doujinshi ORIGINATE FROM JAPAN. And dayam~ there was so much Tiger & Bunny doujinshi, I really didn't know where to start. So much and so prettily drawn. I think I bought 6 T&B doujin in total. Still, FF7+Dissidia combined was the most doujin I bought. Why do I combine those 2 fandoms? Because well, they were all for the Sephiroth/Cloud pairing so I kinda just chuck them under one group. xD"
It was much love seeing and holding actual physical copies of doujinshi from artists I learnt about online. *fangirls a little*
So yes, Japan was epic. Food was good, especially the day we went to the Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo. SO GOOOOOD THE FRESH SUSHI. *.* And I had so much cake/pastry + Earl Grey tea in Japan... I need to start this up back in London. YES YES. The land where Afternoon Tea customs came from, and I have yet to do it much.
Ah Japan. How I miss you already...
In other news, I am now a fan of The Avengers... and the movie ain't even out yet. It has all to do with seeing XMFC fanfic crossed over with Avengers, watching Captain America on the flight to Japan, going on to read Avengers fic of the Steve Rogers/Tony Stark (whichever way around) variety, moving on to watch Iron Man, falling in love with Tony Stark and his epic snarkiness/wit, reading MORE Steve/Tony fanfic... and well you get the picture.
It got to a point whereby upon watching Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, the first few moments with Holmes in it, I was like "Tony Stark. Tony Stark. ...Wait, no, wrong movie." On that note, Sherlock Holmes and his dear Dr. Watson ARE SO GAY I CANNOT EVEN. Oh the movie and the bromance... it actually really needs no "b" in it. AL:KJFDSLKJS Seriously, people are catching on to the fangirls aren't they? But much love in that it was hilarious, and hilariouly gay~
Sooo... Can't wait for April/May 2012 when The Avengers premiere (and I get to see Steve and Tony snark more at each other [while slowly falling in love~], I'll bet, compared to what's already in the trailers)! Wherein I also will be attending a L'Arc~en~Ciel concert in London! Yay for world tours and being in a major city of Europe! 8D
