why yes, I am still alive
It's midway through my Easter holiday and... I have been staying in London all this while. Haha. Long story as to why I didn't go travelling anywhere. But never mind. Staying in London and not travelling has it perks, i.e. I save money and can travel to more places in summer.
As well as looking for accommodation for the next school year. Which still scares me because I suck at talking to strangers over the phone, even though its neccessary because I'm the only one who's going to be in London all this time in Easter while my friends whom I'm sharing the apartment with are either back home or holidaying.
BUT. Never mind that.
Been doing homework on and off... Should probably be revising, but I think that won't be done much. ^^" Been catching up on fandom stuff, to the point that I OCD-ed over my deviantArt Collection folders and created a few more new ones and separated out things from old folders into the new ones. Read a ton of fic. Started writing new fanfic/continuing old fanfic.
And perhaps, the "worst" thing I've done... was to create an account on nicovideo.
I blame it on YouTube not having the Dirge of Cerberus cutscenes, all of them, in Japanese. That was all I wanted. Japanese DoC cutscenes. But NOOOOO. Then I searched the Chinese video sites and came up blank too. I was upset. Then suchcandor kindly suggested nicovideo... and because I really wanted my Vincent, I went and created an account.
Of course, what followed was... insane, fanatical watching of the entire Japanese DoC gameplay & cutscenes (and swooning over Okiayu Ryoutarou-sama as Nero, and realising I now like Weiss' voice in Japanese too, and then swooning AGAIN because of Gackt as Genesis in the secret ending). If that wasn't enough... I have now started on Final Fantasy X.
Now. I know I'm spoiling myself to hell and back again. But seriously. The only game which I wasn't really spoiled for when I started playing it was... Dissidia. Even then, I did know a good bit about it already. I'm resigned to spoiling myself for games because... I know I won't get to play them in any reasonable timeframe.
So now. I wouldn't have been as into continuning the FFX cutscenes if not for... the stupid seiyuus.(No I love them, but seriously, they cause me lots of grief in trying to resist fandom.)
Now. I knew that Auron's seiyuu = Squall's seiyuu = Ishikawa Hideo-san. So I was just wondering how Auron would sound like. Turns out he sounds almost identical to Squall from my Dissidia experiences, and I have a HUGE thing for Squall's voice (because it's also Itachi's voice, but whatever). So I'm like "OMG AURON SPEAK MORE! *continues watching to get more Auron*" And I don't even believe I'm really an Auron fan. I just love his voice. Well, until one cutscene which made me like him more (it's a really random cutscene to cause that me thinks), but never mind that.
Okay, so that's seiyuu number one. Seiyuu number two... really, really killed my resolve good and dead.
Seymour's seiyuu... is... Suwabe Junichi.
I found that piece of info from the Final Fantasy Wikia. And I went "OH. MY. GOD." extremely loudly at that. It was after that, that I went to take a serious look at pictures of in-game Seymour... and damn, he is pretty hot. And why yes, I do know he's a villian.
So, at that point, I was completely, "OMG I CANNOT WAIT FOR SEYMOUR TO APPEAR! 8D" So of course I continued watching. Lucky (or maybe unlucky) for me, around the point I found out that it was Suwabe-san voicing Seymour, the party was already nearing Luca, which is where they first meet Seymour.
I positively melted at hearing Suwabe-san's voice. Now, he was using a gentle and polite voice, not one of his sexiest voice... But damn. I MISSED HIM. So I just flailed over Seymour's voice. Then later, Auron reappeared in Luca again after what felt like an insanely long time, and I rejoiced and my resolve died a quick death once more. It had become an Unsent, but apparently Seymour and Auron's voices combined gave it a very good Sending. ^^"
I am pretty sure though that I'm just swooning over Seymour's voice, and not his actual character. Kinda unlike Auron now I guess. Most definitely unlike Sephiroth who I really adore... even if Morikawa Toshiyuki's sexy voice was what drew me in in the first place. Heh.
Oh why, oh why, oh why did you voice Seymour, Suwabe-san? So very hard to resist watching FFX gameplay videos now... *sigh*
In somewhat related news, I have no idea why, but I am taking to the Auron/Tidus pairing because of the glorious angst goldmine it is. I blame it on a fanfic I stumbled across, when I was just looking for a PWP FFX yaoi fic just for fun. I should've known not to try a multi-chapter WIP fic. It's just... not done. *facepalms*
Moving on to fanfiction writing.
I SWEAR I WILL COMPLETE ZACK!FIC! But somehow, inspiration is not coming... even if I do have everything planned out.
Or rather, I have more inspiration coming in for other fic ideas/existing fics. ^^"
They include my one-shot collection entitled Anthem of the Angels, because the fics that'll encompass the collection had pretty much all their ideas being inspired from repeated listening to the song as well as watching the FF7 AMV where I first heard the song from, two one-shots based on The Fifth Act by sinnatious for which I have obtained permission to write one of them for and then the other fic idea just sprang out from the first one so I'll need to go ask again - the reason why they overtook Zack!fic on pirority list, kinda, is because... they both involve Sephiroth and Cloud, even though not romantically (sorry, Zack! >.<) - and the last one being... a PWP Dissidia piece entitled Playing Mediator in which our dear Wild Rose gets caught in the middle of a... situation when attempting to mediate the conflicts between Tidus and Jecht. ~.^
Andddd... now that I've assured people that I am not dead, I need to go to bed. *yawn* fantasia0829, I remember I need to give you a Barcelona itinerary! Will do it soon!!!
