and so I finally update...

Nov 23, 2010 00:06

It feels like it's been ages since I blogged. Which is probably true. ^^" Life in UK has been... well I can't really say busy with school work because it is quite non-existent. It has however given me lovely hours to spend on watching anime, Facebook, reading fanfiction and... Dungeons and Dragons. xD

Yeah, I guess you could say DnD has been the thing occupying most of my time now. Especially that trial campaign thing with a couple of friends... Me being me, am planning to write the whole thing out into an actual story. It's currently in MSN log format. I'll hopefully be able to turn it into a continuous narrative... one day. xD"

The DnD campaign has also proven to me how much of a yaoi fangirl I am. Hee! I somehow ended up seeing possibilities of yaoi pairings. Then again, there were a total of 3 PCs and 4 plot-important NPCs.... out of which only 2 were females. ^^" It made for some fun (and funny) OOC dialogue in the middle of our MSN role-playing. xDDD ZH and J now know that the mind of a yaoi fangirl is DEEP DARK AND FULL OF SCARY MONSTERS! MWAHAHAHAHA! Not even the light can save you~!

In other news, I visited Oxford last Saturday (20th Nov)! It was cold! Well, when the wind didn't blow (which thankfully was quite often), it was still okay. But when it did... >.< It was colder than London. But that makes sense since Oxford is north of London anyway. I'll see if I have more time that is not used for anime to talk about it. Also, I'll be visiting Birmingham (and the Cadbury World there xD) this Saturday!

AND LASTLY... I HAVE WATCHED HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS PART 1!

You know, now I will never complain about Singapore cinemas having 10 minutes of commercials/trailers. London cinemas have... 30 minutes of them. In similar fashion, I will no longer complain about the amount of advertisements in between Channel 8 dramas... because after every 15 mins of drama in UK, you get 10 mins of commercial, some of which are really lame. And I guess I won't complain (too much) about the heat in Singapore now since I really want it as London gets progressively colder.... Brr! There's actually going to be snow from this Thursday to Sunday!

Anyway, back to the movie!

OMG I seriously, highly suspect that I will need a box of tissues when I watch Part 2. It might be because of my prior knowledge of who lives and dies that made me tear up at certain parts of the movie that weren't really particularly sad... but but but...

MY TWINSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FRED! GEORGE!

I swear. Oh my god. If not for the fact that I was chanting to myself in my head NOT to cry at that scene, I WOULD'VE. I probably still teared up, but not to a very great extent.

It was the scene where Fred returns to the Burrow and sees George with his ear blown off. His expression. The change in his expression from when he entered the room to when he saw George. *wibbles* Then he immediately went to kneel beside George and asked how was he... and he calls George, "Georgey" or however you spell it. REGARDLESS. OMG PET NAME. MY TWINSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!

Of course I could've cried then. I don't know if they'd flesh out the scene of Fred's death more and the aftermath in which the family gathers around his body... BUT IF THEY DO. I SWEAR. I WILL CRY BUCKETS. MY TWINS SEPARATED BY DEATH! >.< Actually, even if they don't particularly flesh it out, but at least do what the book did... I know I will cry already. Not to mention all the other deaths...

Other parts in which I teared up was when Harry went back to Godric's Hollow and saw his parents' tombstones, and of course, Dobby's death. I felt really sad when Hedwig died right at the beginning, but I didn't tear up.

All in all, I thought the movie was good! I'm so glad that they decided to split the movie into 2 parts, and that they chose a good part to end Part 1. I believe they followed the book relatively closely this time around. Except Dudley and Harry did not sorta make up. Oh well. Although Ginny was quite annoying with asking Harry to help her zip her dress, but I already expected that from FB spoiler hahaha so it was still okay. Not to mention George's presence shortly after that scene was... really quite hilarious. xD Plus, she doesn't appear again for the rest of the movie! 8D

But omg I CANNOT WAIT for the 2nd part! I'm now quite tempted to go catch the premiere of part 2... but it's going to be in July and I am going to Japan with SK in July. The only way I can satisfy both is to hope that the premiere is in EARLY July. As early as possible. Like 1st July early if possible. xD" Especially because now I really want the autograph of the Weasley twins' actors, James and Oliver Phelps. >.< Which leaves me wondering who does who. Because OMG they are seriously identical.

Okay that's it for now! I gotta go sleep~!
