almost upped and died
I suffered the shock of my 2009 year yesterday. Why?
My entire thumb drive got wiped out. Out of the blue. Everything. Just GONE. When it was working perfectly fine the day before, and I had definitely did the safety removal thing before unplugging it. God, I could've suffered a heart attack. Cause it meant ALL my fanfictions and fanfic ideas just disappeared.
The posted ones are okay, nothing really lost since I can just back up from my FF.Net or LJ or aarin. But the unposted ones, or work-in-progress ones... LIKE OMG NO. I was really depressed. Until my mom suggested I ask people for help if there was a way to recover the files. Which I did and got some of them back.
I say some at the moment because I haven't sorted out all the files yet (and I really doubt everything could be recovered... but I'm just glad they weren't permanently gone). But thank goodness Rewind; Replay's 1st chapter came back. I think I didn't get the most updated version of that file, but at least my starting ideas were already there. Also, Record; Diary's prologue should be mostly intact. I hope. I haven't actually opened that file yet... :S
Will probably sort it out more tomorrow... or later tonight if I can. Gosh, now I need a new thumb drive. Or a few more. I'm so afraid everything will get permanently wiped out. I'm more worried over my fics than anything else... although that's because I removed my school work from the drive some time back. That and I haven't been doing school stuff and saving it in the thumb drive over the hols too. Oh thank goodness it didn't happen during PW last year. O.O I would've died. >.<
On a brighter note... I've found a few more good Vampire Knight fics to read. And discovered another VK pairing that I think I'll grow to like. It's yet again, something so very non-canon. XD" What is it you ask? Well... Rido/Haruka. Because incest so totally runs in the Kuran clan canonically anyway. *shot* Haha, but anyway, other than that, I'm now following 2 more Kaname/Zero fics, of which one is already in my faves. Then there's a completed Cross/Yagari (and Yagari/Cross) fic that's in my faves too. XD And that brotherly Rido/Haruka one is now there too. Seriously, the only VK HeT that appeals to me is Kain/Ruka. ^^" I avoid Yuuki like the plague. Although she's an inevitable person in most Kaname/Zero or Zero/Kaname fics... that I like. Strange, but I generally don't like fics that chuck Yuuki aside in the sense that they somehow make the boys stop loving her out of the blue. Which is OOC for them in my opinion. I'm a strange one. I don't like them being with Yuuki, but I can't stand their OOC-ness more. ^^" Eh well.
I shall now do my meme from a few posts back for the VK fandom! XD

Least favorite character: Hunter Association President. Maybe Ichiou too
Character with the best hair: Zero and Ichiru. I am utterly biased towards silver hair. XD
Character with the best eyes: Kaname
Character I'd most want to kiss: Zero. Kaname. Kain. Oh hell, it's hard to decide XD"
Character I'd most likely screw: Zero or Kaname or Kain... ARGH ALL OF THEM. ^^"
Character I'd make lunch for: Ichiru~ although I hope he wouldn't compare my cooking with Zero's, who is going to be obviously a lot better than I am ^^"
Character I'd go singing in the rain with: Takuma~ he seems the type anyway ^^
Character I'd go shopping with: Kain! :D
Character I'd go dancing with: I would totally tango with Kain (or whatever latin dance there are). Waltz/slow dance with Kaname. If Zero were the type to go clubbing, I'd totally go with him... and pole dance around him. XDDD" Actually, I think I'd want to go with both him and Ichiru. *indulging in her twins fantasy* Takuma would be fun to go to mass dances with, and I could probably get Shiki to tag along too. So mores the happy! :D
