The fact that a.)I found out about this event through facebook and b.) read the complete story thorugh The Guardian, and not an American newspaper, should also be noted when reading this article. Amittedly, I looked for American articles, but the Guardian was a.) the first one to show up, and b.) the most complete one. The American articles I looked up were terrible. Snippets, incomplete stories, and not taking everything into consideration.
...and Barack Obama has already taken this up as a campaign issue.
