Reminiscences - Yaotome Hikaru & Chinen Yuri

Summary : JUMP is one big family, but how are their individual relationships like between the members? A series of drabble-like (or just drabble in most cases) one-shots that i will post individually once I get down to write it :)

“Why on earth am I the one who got this task?”
“Because, Yabu-chan, you are the eldest.”
“Besides, you’re also our unofficial leader. So this is your responsibility.”
“The hell it is! I am not going in there!”
“You have to!”
Both the boys who were inside of the practice room giggled as they listened to their bandmates’ conversation, which took place just outside of the door. It helped too that their so called whisperings were not all that quiet.
“They do realize that we could hear every word they say, right, Chinen?” The older of the two in the room whispered, trying not to giggle too much.
“I don’t think so, Hikaru-kun. They are too terrified to notice it, I believe,” the shorter one whispered back, having less luck in trying to reign in his amusement and hugging the cushion so that he could bury his face on it.
It was just plain ridiculous how the others were over-reacting to this situation, though it also proved to be a great source of amusement. The two of them were really not that scary, in their opinion at least. Obviously the others didn’t seem to think so, as clearly could be seen by the current situation.
Which happened to be the fifth time this month.
Unaware of the entertainment that they were unconsciously providing the two in the room, those on the other side of the door continued the not so quiet and very heated discussion.
“That is so not fair, Yuto. I rather like to have my sanity intact, thank you very much.”
“You won’t go insane just by walking in there, Kota.”
“Yeah? Then, why don’t you go in there?”
“Unlike you, I happen to have a leader that I could sacrifice for this.”
“Thanks for the support, Kei.”
“Why are you three standing in the corridor and blocking the door like that?”
The two troublemakers perked up when they heard a new voice joining in. Exchanging a rather devious grin, they grabbed their respective small note book and sat in front of each other, huddling close.
Time for another performance.
“Well, you see, Yuya, Hi- mph!”
“Nothing, Yuya! Kota was just being his usual worrywart self.”
They could just imagined Inoo covering Yabu’s mouth while Takaki stared at them confusedly. Yuto had, no doubt, been utterly confused by Inoo’s action and was too busy staring to do anything.
“Why don’t you come in first, we’ll follow you later. After we calm Kota down. Go on.”
The two swore they were so close to guwaffing that very second.
Sometimes they sure loved the sadistic streak that the pianist showed from time to time.
The other times, not so much.
The sound of the door’s handle being pushed down could be heard and they immediately schooled their expression and started whispering under their breath, which most assume was them planning their latest evil plan.
In truth, I went like: “I think it would be better if we use smoke effect here.” “No, firework is definitely better.” “But smoke has greater effect with this song”
When the door creaked open and silence commenced, the two huddled boys turned to see one Takaki Yuya frozen in shock.
“Yuya, why are you standing there like that?” Chinen asked with his most innocent voice and face.
“Eh? Huh? Oh! I was just- I mean…”
Oh how bad they wanted to laugh right now. The poor boy was just so nervous that he couldn’t seem to form a complete sentence. They smirked simultaneously.
They were so going to enjoy this.
“You look pale, Takaki,” Hikaru’s grin widened when the older looked at him and gulped. “Why don’t you sit down? There’s a space right here.” He patted the empty spot on the carpet right next to him and Chinen.
“N-no, I- ”
“You okay, Yuya?” Chinen asked as he moved to stand up. “Hikaru-kun’s right. You do look kind of pale.”
“Ye-yeah, I- Fresh air!”
With that parting word, the older boy ran out of the room right away, complete with all of his belongings and slammed the door close behind him. They could hear him hissing at the other three outside moments later.
The two merely looked at each other before burst out laughing.
k59: i think i've always imagine Hikaru and Chinen to be the prankster type^^~ so this is the result to that.. again, if you have any idea for the not yet written pairing, feel free to share it with me XD i would love some suggestion :)
