We're off to Google Moon. We'll follow Mr. Spoon. Google Mooooon... Google Mooooon...

It is truly saddening to me how few people will actually have any clue what I'm parodying above. In all fairness, if I was to ask people in England in the same age bracket, I'd probably still be disappointed *sigh*

Anyhow, try playing with the zoom option if you try it out.

Matt (of the Caltech Mafia) managed to track me down today, which is most impressive... I didn't have much time to talk to him today but it's possible he might give me a brief tour tomorrow so that should be interesting.

Then flying back on Saturday. I'm am very much looking forward to being back in CA, but very much not looking forward to the flight. I'm beginning to really, REALLY, dislike long flights. I feel trapped. Not quite claustrophobia, but something similar I guess. Blech.

As for the course itself... *sigh*. I'll admit up front that I think I really like the concepts and some of the structure of the DB and the idea of object oriented data storage. The actual glue that holds it together (such as the *shudder* object script)? Not even worth looking at. It's like a shiny new sportscar held together with duct tape and, worse, they don't even bother trying to hide the duct tape...

Off to Legal Seafood in about half an hour. Given the number of people who's instant reaction to me going to Boston was "go to Legal Seafood!", it would be kind of silly for me not too. The fact it's five minutes walk from the hotel doesn't hurt either.
