back in school mode
I stayed home sick today. Note to self: no more raw fish. Ever. EVER! This was the second time in a month. And it was SMOKED salmon so I thought differently from the sashimi experience I had a few weeks ago... my stomach sure did retaliate in pain! Ugghhhh...
The weekend was phenomenal! Strathcona seems different when there on your own and not following a group of 70 kids around. There were about 60 former Incentive students, some from the 1981 class!!! Many from a class from 92-94 who were really tight knit and quite funny. Our bunch and a bunch from the year younger than us. We pushed ourselves to great lengths, such as walking the high ropes of DOOM! I was amazed at seeing the stars in the sky again. How often to we stop and admire them really? How often can we even SEE them all? I loved it loved it loved it.
Next day was straight back to school and not so stimulating. The course material should be quite relevant, but I'm lured by the sun and stressed by the process of job applications. WHY did the prof have to ask for a "hands up if you have been hired already?!" and why did half the class raise their hands way, way up!? Grr... I'm waiting patiently the nexxt few days for Richmond to hoppefully call or else I'm screwed because I put all of my eggs in one damn tiny basket.
I should do the homework now. Get it over wiht. Impress myself.
