Things have been busy busy busy!!!!! So busy that I've not written anything in a while...
However, the charity event was a fantastic success. Lots of people said that it was the best one yet! We raised over £1100 for a charity called
Fairy Box - and the thing is that they are struggling at the moment, so the money we raised is very much needed.
The most amazing performance of the night was Tribal Storm - a group of dancers from Dundee - who blew everyone away with their "gang stand-off" choreography. The whole hall was silent and the atmosphere was electric as they danced! It was amazing!!!!
In even more amazing news, the
Bellydance Superstars are coming to Edinburgh and they will be performing with some of the best, oriental/fusion talent in Scotland. I am really proud that some of the performers at the Inchture hafla on Saturday night will be dancing at that event! We even had the "scoop" on it, because it was announced at the Inchture event, but didn't go official until the next day!!!
My friends Paula, Laura, Tigerlilly, Stephanie, Elaine and Ceila are all dancing. Fracking AWESOME!!!!!! I am so stoked for them!
Then, today I was asked if I would like a slot to perform at the Edinburgh Festival!!! ... *strokes imaginary Disney-baddie beard* Hmmm... Let me think about that... YES!!!!!! Yes! Yes!
2012 is DEFINITELY the year of dance!
*happy dance*
If I'm really, really, good, do you think that Father Christmas might bring me a personal master class with Ashley Banjo?
