Weekend report
Well this weekend was bleh. Started off great, in planning, then when reality hit turned shitty, and slightly redeemed itself through other stuff, but still wasn't as great as I wanted it to be.
The original plan was to drive up with Alex, mark_argent, and iwontsayplease, on Saturday, to ghostfaceposta's birthday party in PA. Well around 3-4pm on Saturday (approximately 4 hours from the start of the party) Alex finally contacted me (he'd been calling the wrong Ben) letting me know there wasn't enough room in car for me, and to try other folks for going up. I attempted contacting a few other OBers in the area, but none of them were going, and I really didn't have the money to drop on an Amtrak up there (since I was under the impression I would be getting a ride up there), so I had to call JB and tell him I was going to have to miss out on his awesome party, further cementing my status as a total fucking hermit.
So after that I logged in to FFXI and got an XP party. As we are XPing out in Ro'Maeve I am listening to LS chatter and Omi's not there, when I realize I didn't confirm her appearance on Saturday for the CoP 2-5 run. So I struggled to find a replacement, and after looking for what felt like half an hour (maybe it was...) the party let me go and I hurried and filled in slot 6 of the party and we went on to win, first time go with WAR/NIN, WHM, DRK, RNG, NIN/WAR, and RDM/BLM (me). Strat was to have the first 4 take out one Mammet, while Naobi (NIN/WAR) kited the other two, and I was supporting her with heals and Gravity/Bind. It worked amazingly. And just to put it in perspective, we didn't have any yellow liquids either. XD
Sunday's CoP stuff went well too. We got Tokaki and Ishi up to 3-5 before that fight started and they went with Fylia and Marikara to do Diabolos (Jiharn and Neiko assisted too), and while they had a early hiccup in the form of someone aggroing the snoll on the way to the Shrouded Maw, after that they went on and, again, did a first time win. \^^/
While they were doing that, I was doing A-Team stuff, and got another Worm win in, along with the... one where you knock down the door (total luck. >.<). Anyways, closer to PFC, and more Assault points for l33t gear (want those Yigit boots and gloves!!!!).
Also got RDM to 72, so I can finally(!) wear Errant gear. First pair of pant upgrades in like... 20 levels. *washes Warlock's Tights* I'll still use my AF pants, but mostly for Soloing now. Also got the Errant boots, which are pretty damn awesome for boots and will replace my RDM/BST boots for party use. Those get sold, but for the two levels I had them (long two levels...) they were worth it. Anyways, more XPing this week, and hopefully 73.
