And wtf Gandhi!!! At first I thought it was going to be the actual spirit of Gandhi and well, it seemed very OOC for him. Dean should have some respect for the Mahatma instead of calling him a fruitarian in diapers. I thought it was mildly sacrilegious, yet hilarious. But of course it turned out to be a pagan god instead! That whole whatever-you-worship felt very Neil Gaiman to me.

Okay, so the Antichrist's birth mother's tea cup is the same set as my mom's. I have had coffee and/or tea from that exact same style SO MANY TIMES. It's kinda weird. And, how incredibly violating would it be to not only be possessed by a demon, but have your body used as an incubator? Incredibly traumatising! I shudder at the thought.
"What is the Antichrist doing in Nebraska?" Also, poor kid.
I have lots of thoughts about the place of God and Hell and judeo-christian mythology vs. other parts of the world, Paganism, etc, but I think maybe I should leave those thoughts until I've seen the rest of the season. I hear Kali and Loki and other deities show up later, so that might deal with some of my reservations. Until then I will just say how incredibly ethnocentric the whole Angel and God arc has been so far. What I did enjoy about the first seasons is that the MOTW they were dealing with came from all sorts of different cultures (but yet, somehow all spoke english, hah) and none had supremacy over others, but that isn't quite the case anymore. (Although there is a lot of mythology, cultures and creatures that they haven't used, that could be awesome. But maybe I should just be thankful they haven't butchered my culture yet.)
Today has been a total write-off. I stayed up until past 5am reading, didn't have breakfast until 2pm and then forced myself to have something else around 9pm. I HATE when I screw up my schedule - it really really screws up my schedule. Fandom, you are doing bad things to my life.
