The powers that be are trying to quit giving funding to PBS and NPR (starting with shows such as Seseme Street). I don't really appriciate that, considering that I grew up on those (well, until I found God). I signed a petition to try to get them to stop (I've been doing a lot of that lately).
I've been listening to hip-hop nonstop lately (even that of the nerdcore variety, along with some Brazillian lovemaking music, Hasidic reggae, and Sri Lankan whatever music.. Did I mention that a great deal of that is free? Oh, internet, how I love you.
Um... jazz camp next week, followed by a week at the old man's place. I'll be back here for Jazz fest, and then I'll have two weeks to kill either around here, in Chicago(?) or maybe elsewhere. Then I'm off to camp! Woot!
