The only time I ever lost a friend was because I hated her
The Tallcorn Jazz Fest was alright. We got 4th by a pretty close margin, and we didn't even play that good in the opinion of many of us. The Coe contest next weekend will hopefully be better.
I have this piece of paper sitting above my mirror that says "Do not beat me!" There's a story behind it, but instead of ruining it for you, I think I'll let you create your own story about it.
Blah. I wrote this entry because I should, because it's been a few days, but I don't really have anything to inspire me, and I'm kind of braindead right now, so... I'm just gonna post it in it's half-completed state and hopefully I'll get something juicy later in the week.
Oh! Now I remember! A few musical things I'm excited about:
1. Modest Mouse concert next week - I can't go, but hey, it's exciting! (stupid band concert...)
2. Catch-22 concert at Gabe's Oasis on March 13th.
3. Cake concert at Grinnell... sometime in the future! (I forget the date)
4. Dirty Dozen Brass Band concert on April 19.
5. Youngblood Brass Band new cds/ sheet music coming out in the next few months.
