College + IE = PH41L
A.K.A. Anime torrents are killing my computer.
So yeah. College is cool as ever. We kinda pranked Kidman... but I'm not going into it XDDD
Anyway, we've been given quite a few assignments to do now. My 1st Software Maintenance was due in today, I submitted it yesterday. The only thing is we had to do it online (which is fair enough, being an I.T. course and all) but we had to use Internet Explorer... which fails on so many levels as a web browser, some time ago I deleted it from the laptop which I primarily use (in fact, it's what I'm using now). Now, you'd think as the Barnfield Technology campus, the website would be compatable with at least Firefox &/or Opera, I mean, even the teachers prefer other browsers... but no. So I had to use the computer in the living room, which has Norton anitivirus, IE & Vista: it's bug central ¬.¬;;;
So I used that... IE took about 10 mins to load the hompage, and about 5 to upload a 67kb zip file... I had forgotten how slow IE runs on that computer. Luckily, ma and my brother are slowly converting our parents to Firefox, just as long as he doesn't delete IE, otherwise I'll have to install it on here, which would just be lame.
Also, the other day, we came to the conclusions:
As for my AKA title... it's true, I had to pause it to load the LJ posting page ¬.¬;;; Soon enough my dad will complain about me stealing the internet, but it's for a good cause: Digimon Adventure subbed ;D The first 26 episodes from ryuu_rogue (19.7% ^_^)
So, I don't have college for the next 2 weeks: next week is review week, the week after is half term. Well, I have to go in on Monday for some paperwork my tutor wants us to fill out... which kinda sucks, but still 2 weeks holiday is just epic XD;;;
So... expo! I'm really looking forward to it ^_^ My mum's given me £25 for my haircut next week, probably Friday, so I can have it straightened, and I also have to go to the opticians. It'll be a busy week.
On an unrelated note, my room is a mess XD;;;
Seriosly, I keep dumping things on the floor going; 'I'll put it away later...' then I never do ._.
I should tidy it this weekend... but I probably won't. I suppose it can be forgiven? Maybe? Well, I am a teenage after all ;P
And finally, my doujinshi turned up ;D

The front cover art (left) is by G-7, the back (right) is by Breath. Monaural Magazinez art is ok... but not as good as the other 2 :P

- The PC hadn't been defragged since it was bought (Sep 07) (it has now though)
- The PC has never been opened... it will be dusty in there
- My dad doesn't even roughly know the specs of either his laptop or PC
- My dad thinks there is a way to significantly increase the performance of the PC without, a) buying new ram/hardware or b) deleting unused software/Nortons
- My dad thinks Nortons is a good antivirus
- He also thinks he knows about computers... he doesn't
