Dragonforce, clearly, is not suited for music. Their only saving grace, if you could call it that, is that they're fast. Not good, but fast. Now, I'll concede that I was taken in by this some moons ago and professed to like their work. This was before I reached the age of reason. Looking back, all they really have goin' for them is Through the Fire and the Flames, which admittedly is fun o play on Guitar Hero...
But that's it! They have no stage presence, no synergy, nothing! It just feels sloppy and there's no energy to it.
Now Jethro... You can really feel it. They know how to work the crowd, the music sizzles and you can feel it running through you. Plus they have a flautist solo! That's totally awesome!
I'm sick of people treating Dragonforce like they're the greatest fucking thing ever, and it's a pain, really, to see the youth of today passing better bands in favor of THIS shit. It's aggravating as all hell. You know who you are.
