Freedom!!
So I was waltzing along today on campus towards my EVPP class (oh yes, I'm in college now. Don't know why I didn't start this sooner, it ROCKS!) and I noticed, on the ground, a simple white poster. It wasn't elaborate, or even pretty. The writing was simple and rather bland. Not really eye-catching in the slightest, but it did stand out white against the green grass, so I glanced at it.
And in doing so, I had to pause as to what the little poster actually said. "Freedom is Free".
Freedom is free. That's a nice little statement, I thought. But then I halted and realized my own opinion on it. So I ask everyone here who reads this journal.
IS freedom free?
Can we even say, in America, that Freedom is Free?
Can we keep up having babies in this country and keep up the belief that every baby we have actually HAS rights in the face of the world population and resource consumption? Is it realistic to keep this belief up? Can we AFFORD to?
