M called mom this morning hysterical and it took a few minutes to get her calmed down. When she did calm down enough for mom to understand her she said she finally hobbled into the bathroom to get washed off from yesterday (too exhausted to do it last night after getting home from the ER) and freaked out because her hair is falling out. Mom explained that it was from where she hit her head and the glass and to not worry that it'll grow back but if it's too cut up that she'll take M to the beauty shop and get it fixed. Of course she's also in a lot of pain with the swelling in her knee, ankle and elbow.
I really want to go over there and bring M here so I can take care of her. It doesn't feel right not taking care of my baby when she's hurting. *whimper*
It's a good thing that the ex-SiL's apartment is attached to her work and that they live within walking distance to pubic transportation in order to get to the store or else they'd be in trouble without a car.
I was shocked to find out that D sent M a note at the hospital since he couldn't go in the back saying that he was glad she was okay, that the angels were watching over her and that god loves her. (mom also informed me that he goes up to strangers in the store that look like they're having a bad day and tells them that god loves them.) The reason I'm shocked is a topic meant for another time.
When they were stitching M up last night she stepped outside to smoke a cigarette and to tell the kids how M was doing, she said HD was sitting there looking absolutely miserable because he couldn't go see M and mom told him to come on and told the nurse at the desk that 'he's going in back with me to see his sister' and the nurse looked at the two of them for a few seconds then nodded and buzzed them in. He hugged her and said 'only nanna can get things done'. She said that when he saw M that he started tearing up again and immediately went over and hugged her and told her how much he loved her. HD has never been one to hold back his emotions (which leads to nasty comments on occasions from everyone else in the family but me) and I'm glad he's not like my brother about holding them in. (on a side note, he brought in his report card (after (big)A has constantly said he wasn't doing his school work) and produced A+'s across the board. *iz so proud of him*) But when Mom took HD back out to the waiting room, you could tell that he had a huge weight lifted off his shoulders.
I'd just like to say thank you again to folks for the good vibes and prayers sent my family's way last night, they are so appreciated.
eta: mom just got off the phone with the ex-SiL and this is the newest news. insurance is going to cover 75% of the hospital bills and they've got a lawyer for M and they've given him the names and phone numbers of the witnesses who saw the woman speeding. the woman that hit M is claiming to have 'deadly injuries' despite the fact that they didn't keep her in the hospital and claimed yesterday that only her wrist hurt. Remember what I said up that it's a good thing that the ex-SiL's apartment is attached to her work? *points up* Her boss told her that unless she gets a car quickly she's going to be fired because she's the one that makes the daily deposits to the bank. *sigh* Heartless cocksuckers. Way to knock a family down further.
