Burgers
I have been having a lot of burgers lately, be it from Jack in the Box (the nearest and cheapest eating place outside my school) or McDonalds with their dollar saver burger, $1.08 each tax included. Well, that's a quite a worthwhile price considering the high living expenses here and poor international exchange student like me.
But I must say I have enjoyed the burger from In n Out burgers a lot. The ingredients are fresh with reasonable price. You can actually see the daily peeled potatoes freshly stick-sliced by the machine and drop directly to the fryer when customers placed the order. They taste real nice compared to other frozen fries other fast food company used. Besides, there's secret menu whereby only the locals or regular customers know and not shown on the menu board in the restaurant. I wondered why they do that. Hmmmmm.....
Eg.
3-by-3: three meat patties & three slices of cheese (woah!!)
4-by-4 : four meat patties & four slices of cheese (double woah!!!)
ANIMAL STYLE : the meat is cooked and fried with mustard and then pickles are added, extra spread and grilled onions are added
ANIMAL STYLE FRIES : fries with cheese, spread, grilled onions and pickles
PROTEIN STYLE : burger wrapped with lettuce - no bun! (for low-carb dieters)
FLYING DUTCHMAN : two meat patties, two slices of melted cheese and nothing else - not even a BUN!
FRIES "Well-Done" : extra crispy fries!
FRIES "Light" : opposites of fries "well-done", more raw than the normal one
GRILLED CHEESE : no meat, just melted cheese, tomato, lettuce and spread on bun
VEGGIE BURGER : burger with no patty / cheese.
NEAPOLITAN SHAKE : strawberry, vanilla and chocolate blended together
I've tried it once and would like to go again!! It was a Sunday and business was so GOOD. Customers keep on flowing in with a long line of drive-in order. The staffs were taking orders from the car line too when the counter wasn't able to handle them quick enough. And oh, the drinks are refillable for free so to be a wise consumer, just but the small drink and refill refill refill!!!
