The News!
Having not posted in about forever, why not re-enter with a bang?
I'M ENGAGED!!
Yup... I'm the one who "grew up so fast" (thank you dave for the cryptic preview). Saturday night after the banquet Rob proposed to me. And I obviously said yes (see above comment)! He did it in a friend's kitchen where a bunch of us had gone after the banquet to hang out for a bit. There were tons of our friends there and it was really really sweet. The ring he gave me is a family heirloom, and currently being resized since my hands are tiny. We're planning to actually get married in like a year and a half (after my first year of medical school), so still some time before I completely "grow up." *wink!*
Oh! And in other, related, news since the last time I posted, Rob and I also found an amazing appartment and signed a lease early last week. It's in Media, about a minute from the train station, has a washer and dryer (can I tell you how happy I am going to be not to walk through a parking lot everytime I want to do laundry?), dishwasher (so maybe the kitchen will stay neat... maybe.) and - the coolest part - a working fireplace! Right now we've got a one bedroom with a den (aka study room), but we're hoping a two bedroom becomes available at some point - little bit more space. There's a possibility that one will open up for the time we're looking to move in (late April/early May), so we're keeping our fingers crossed. And of course - there's definately crash room (couch, futon, etc) for anyone passing through the area.
Still pretty much giddy happy! (and I promise to start using this livejournal thing a little more often again.)
