I've actually stayed pretty busy today.
I went to the fish hatchery potluck at noon. The food was damn good, and I got to see the few hotties I used to work with. I got fucking pulled over on 480 by Lindberg's on my way there. Great fun.
After that, I went to Lari's Christmas program. It was really cute. Wardo called me while I was at the concert and he said "Hey, sorry I didn't answer my phone, I was droppin' a deuce." I was laughing so fucking hard. All day I've been hearing him say that in my head, and I just keep cracking up.
I saw my aunty Debbie for the first time since last time I was home. It's very relieving to see her as a functioning person, instead of the tube-dependent comatose lump that I saw her as last time. What a thought.
I picked up Joey from school around 3:30. I talked to Nate at the high school, which was nice. I haven't seen he or Roy at all since about 2 months ago. Joe and I hung out at his house, played some guitar, watched Elf, and watched Mitch Hedberg. Nothing too exciting, but we had fun.
One thing that I've been thinking about lately is that I really don't like how people respond to me when I tell them what my new major is. For those of you who didn't know, I was a forensic biology major, and I am currently a music industry management major. They all just sort of go "oh" like I disappointed them or something. The way my dad reacted today really made me mad, too. Someone at the table asked what I'm majoring in, and I said music industry management, and he just sort of laughed and said "yeah.." Whatever, ya know? I may have done shitty my first semester, but I'm going to prove myself to everyone one day. Whether I'm analyzing blood samples at a crime scene or managing my own record label, I'll show ya's all. Yeah.
Dave called me earlier to tell me that when he got in his car, he turned on the radio and "Dust in the Wind" was on. Cute that you thought of me =) And that's a sweet song.
