Kangas and Brittany are down to visit again. Unfortunately, the drama followed them. (no offense guys) I don't miss it at all.
Zach and I had a really good talk last night about a lot of things. When it's just me and Zach, we tend to have really good conversations. We were talking about how it was good for both of us to get away from home and be who we want to be and be who we really are, and he was saying how I'm different when my friends are here. He said "before any of your friends ever came down here, you were Katie, and now you're Katie Collick from Negaunee." I guess I don't really know how to take that. I mean, I wasn't offended or anything, I just don't know if he's meant that I've changed in a negative way. I'm assuming so, since the subject arose, but who knows. I've thought about it a lot since we had the conversation. I don't try to be different around people, but people tend to act how people expect them to act. In other words, I act around my friends how I've always acted, which really isn't how I am here. I really am a better person since I've come to Ferris though. I left my short temper and lashing tongue at home, which is perfectly fine by me. I'll be sure to pay attention to how I act when I go home to see if I notice if I act differently at all.
I don't know if that sounded stupid or not. I guess I'll figure it out eventually.
