tattoos...

so i have a new idea for a tattoo... (i'm getting way too into this stuff) i wouldn't get it until after i get my neck one, but i'm really getting excited about the idea of this one, too:



so i've been thinking that i want to get a thigh piece after my faith tattoo... i want it kind of placed like this:


i want it to be on my right thigh from my upper thigh (almost to my hip) to my knee

i want to go have a tattoo artist come up with a couple of layouts that have some combination of water, koi, lotus flowers, and/or a crane... i want it to have an asian feel...

i found some pictures of the different elements that are around the idea i'm looking for...



i like these two koi...



i really like these different lotus flowers... i think that i'd want more than one in the tattoo








i'm not sure whether i want a realistic crane kinda like one of these:




or if i want an origami crane:


i really want to let the artist come up with some of his or her own pieces based on the general ideas i have... i don't know if i want it to be black and greyscale or if i want some color integrated in (i don't think i want full color) but i think that i'll get the artist's opinion...

i'm really passionate about the meanings of these things...
the crane is a symbol or honor and loyalty...
the koi swimming upstream symbolizes being a non-conformist and strength in the time of adversity...
the lotus flower sprouts out of the mud at the bottom of a pond and grows up through the water until it reaches the surface where it blooms... it symbolizes the struggle of life at its most basic form and overcoming the hard times in life...
i just think that that they all fit me and my life so far really well...
