This is completely ALL SB's fault. In her fantastic AU followup to my "Jane's Death" fic, she has Jane and Cho making a bet. If Jane wins, he'll take Cho out for dinner, which makes Cho wonder if it's a date and Jane is interested or merely a friendly coworker dinner

Sorry I've been out of touch. Real life kicked me in the teeth, ran over me as I left the dentist office then backed up and did it again. Just when I thought things were getting back to normal, to add insult to injury, my desktop computer has become infected with two or three malware programs. I'm using a 5 year old laptop to access the web because my desktop is, to put it bluntly, FUCKED! Pardon me if my language offends.

I am careful to the point of paranoia when it comes to internet security but Windows has so many vulnerabilities I guess it was just a matter of time. Hubby, who is a die hard Mac person has been very kind and NOT said "if you had a mac this would not have happened" even though that's true.

The assholes who write this kind of malicious software don't bother with Macs because 1)it's harder to attack the OS and 2)there aren't enough Mac users to make it possible to cause the widespread damage a virus that targets Windows systems will do.

I must go, hubby has found a step by step guide that might save my computer, so wish me luck.

P.S. One of the first things I'm going to do is re-read your wonderful story. It will get this crap I'm going through out of my head.

Cross your fingers and ask your preferred deity, if you have one, to look out for me.
