Being sick in a clean house
I stayed home sick today. I have strep throat. Miserable thing.
But... On Saturday, right before coming down sick, I had someone over to help clean the house. She scrubbed the bathroom, the kitchen, and the front two rooms, and it is beautiful. I moved the random debris that needs sorting into the back rooms. Today, I finally got my Quicken up to date, and shredded a menge (lots) of receipts.
And now I am lying on my back looking up... and directly above me is my new skylight.
I can see blue sky!
The room is bright and clean and uncluttered.
I have a cat keeping me company.
My good friend magentamn took me to the doctor and then to get medicine and groceries. So I have what I need,
Even though I have a beastly sore throat, and can barely swallow, I am enjoying myself.
Of course, the taxes are still NOT DONE.
But now that Quicken is up to date that should be easier.
At some point, when I have time, I plan to post pictures of the lovely skylight in my room.
But I see it every day, with its pale wood trim and view of the sky, with a new light and ceiling fan, with remote control, with lots of sunshine coming in... and it makes me happy.
