Yeah, I'm kinda bored right now, so I'll try to entertain myself by blabbing on here.
A certain person keeps not calling me even though I'd really like to talk to him (granted, I'd really like to talk to him pretty much all the time, but this time I really have a good and sort of important reason) so I'm trying to do things to make the time pass so maybe he'll respond to my calls or aim messages or something. Little dork.
I've been working on Steve's apartment. Him and I moved the actual bed in his room back so now it seems like there's actually some space in the room. And both the bed and the futon have sheets on them, oh my gosh! :p The closet is now clean too, and all of Steve's clothes are either hung up, folded, or in a washer or dryer at my house right now, so we're doing good. We'll see if that'll last the week though, or if Becky'll have to pick up half his wardrobe when she comes this weekend. We went through his junk that was put into the garage and threw out a bunch of it, and I got rid of a bunch of boxes and stuff, and just put things away where they belonged instead of just laying around,so the middle room-like hallway is probably as clean as I'll get it.
Lets see, what else did I do....I scrubbed the sink, the shelf above the sink, the mirror and the toilet, oh, and some of the trim and stuff on the walls that was horrid, so now the bathroom is back to being mostly white. Though since Steve and Jordan didn't clean it since May, there are some permanent stains, or at least bad enough that something stronger than the cleaner stuff that comes from Hope will be needed. I might have to borrow some things from work (because even though we're connected with Hope, Haworth is smart enough to use what actually really works well). Or maybe I'll buy some good cleaner stuff for Steve with the money from all the booze bottles he's been saving. Technically the money WILL still be going toward the Halloween party, as was originally planned, because it'll make the place clean for the lovely people coming. I haven't attacked the bathtub yet, but I don't think that'll take too much to do, actually. And the plastic shelves in there just need to be chucked, which probably will happen as soon as we find something better for in there.
I've picked up a bunch of the junk from in the living room too. I think half of the mail I picked up still hasn't been opened. Steve gets distracted so easily. But now papers are all hidden instead of laying on every flat surface.
I also washed all the dirty dishes, some of which were used by me to make cookies that have all been eaten, so I'll have to make more soon. Half the appliances and surfaces in the kitchen have been wiped down really well too, but then I was getting sick of it and the sink water wasn't going down, so I figured that was enough.
Work, where I get money for my cleaning, kinda sucked today, but hopefully things will go better tomorrow. I actually have decent legth fingernails right now and attempting to make a bed with sheets that are too small half the time is really interesting feeling when your nails keep bending and you're not used to that.
And in other random news, I think my voice range has actually stretched, especially since highschool when I was actually still choir and singing consistently. I always got a cold around Christmas time and my voice really sucked for a while, and I haven't had that since. I honestly think it was a combination of being around people that made me sick, and just that practicing everyday, on top of the singing I do on own anyway, probably overdid it. Today I was singing "Seasons of Love" from Rent and hit the high note in the deva-ish part, and actually managed to hold it. A few days ago when we were playing LOTR Monopoly, I had Phantom of the Opera on and I usually just die out of the title song, and my voice just plain won't come on some of the higher notes, but the REALLY high note near the end I decided to see if I could even screach, and I actually managed to hit the thing on key! Only lasted a fraction of a second before my voice gave out, but usually even a couple notes below I don't get anything. And Steve and Don were both looking at me with the same look as what I felt (Holy S***, did she/I just hit that!?). I'm a freekin alto, for gosh sakes, and my lower range is at least as low as it always was.
And I just realized it's a half hour to midnight, so I'm going to try to harrass the boy one more time and hopefully get to bed at a decent hour because I have to work again tomorrow morning, and on rooms so I need to be semi awake and speedy.
Nighty night.
