Romney (Lucy) and Cotswold (Bling) wools dyed with easter egg dye and spun on Bren's Ashford Traditional Wheel.

Knitwych loaned me a video on short row heels and this is the result! I've made 2 pairs of ankle socks from Lucy and Bling's fleece and am just thrilled with the results.

I also finished an easy purl lace sock using Spunky Eclectic's Snow Squall using a more traditional square gusset heel. The wool was spun on Bren's Ashford traditional wheel. The striping effect is from dividing the roving vertically and spinning half as is. The remaining half is divided into pencil roving and spun, creating the stripes.

Last month I spun up Spunky Eclectic's "Rosebud"

Rotten pic/ Great colors. Would look great as a Morning Surf scarf.

So, my current projects are:

Chameleon Colorworks Bluefaced Leicester wool in colorway "Figgy Pudding" and "Straight Laced" done totally backwards as a toe up sock using "Merlot Mist" Colonial-Merino Top using size "O" needles. I was casting on with these itty bitty needles and I almost hurt myself the other night when DH trouped in with the neighbors for an impromptu beer and wine tasting. If you haven't done a side-by-side comparison of the seasonal brews, then I recommend both Samuel Adam's "Oktoberfest" and Blue Moon's "Pumpkin Ale." Both are yummy. Blue Moon is a little more bitter if you like that.
La Fin Du Monde is a lovely beer and so is Three Philosphers both are good for sipping or with hearty food.
Though to be perfectly honest, my preferred brew is at this time of year is a mug of hot Buck's County
"Pumkin Spice" with a hit of soy milk ;)

On my size "1" needles is an attempt at Lickety Split using leftover yarn in a true FrankenKnit. Nothing to see yet, just toe cups, but hopefully they'll be done before Yule.  Also this semester I am taking Call of the Dark Mother (Death & Dying) at CHS.

As promised a pic from Haldane's 2 hour visit...both hair and house were tidy.

And how I normally look....Say...when the neighbors get dragged in to compare ales...
