Spin to knit Swap questions 1-4

Dec 22, 2006 21:16

Apparently this particular swap is supposed to start with a round of questions...Such as:

How did you get involved in spinning?

It was Rumplestiltskin's fault. The 2nd grade class I was reading it to, didn't know what spinning was. I went home and taught myself how to drop spindle that weekend. That July I was accepted at a 5 day Fiber class at NCCAT where I fell in love with spinning and weaving.

Why did you sign up for this swap?

I was insane at the time :D If I had *thought* about it, I would have realized that it was at the same time as my inventory month when I would be working 12 hour days! I've also volunteered to be a part of a library facilities study group and have a formal observation during the month. I was nuts....

What is your favorite method of spinning?

I prefer drop spindle for pleasure spinning, but have to admit that the wheel goes faster...when I can find the time to sit.

What are you spinning right now?

No quilted postcards at the moment, but I did receive a nice letter from the Hygenic Gallery thanking me for my art donation. Odd, but I was more proud of that than in my BA degree diploma.
