So, tonight we had our pre-NaNoWriMo party due to winning the bookdrive, and had founder of NaNo Chris Baty as our guest of honor.
On the unhappy side of things, some sucky stuff happened to some of the folks there over the last few months (not going into huge details, but it wasn't happy news) which was depressing to hear.
On the happy side of things, got to touch base with some friends, was invited to a Pirate Party on September 19th, and made some plans for November.
On the great side of things, Chris Baty ate my delicious home made chicken snacks, and told me that they were awesome. He was also a super cool guy and talked with me a little, heard how I got into NaNo, and said he'd like to try some of the games I've made for iPhone.
All in all, a very good night.
